• BigPond.com is kind of a big deal. Big Pond offers home and business internet products and services. Broadband internet access provided via ADSL, satellite or cable, plus dial up services.

• The strange thing is BPSports.mobi doesn’t resolve on it’s own. The home page. I found these other parts of the site above. Maybe they are building it out as we speak?
• Seems a strange way of doing it though. The links above are indexed and more besides. However I can see no promotion as of yet either.
• The Australian Giant owns BigPond.mobi too, but as of yet it doesn’t resolve.

Enterprise Rent-a-Car launches ‘Enterprise.mobi’

Enterprise Holdings is a privately held company formed in 2009 to operate three rental car subsidiaries: Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, along with WeCar (the company’s carsharing company), and its commercial fleet management, used car sales, and commercial truck rental operations.

Enterprise Holdings was formed as part of a reorganization that followed Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s acquisition of Vanguard Automotive Group. The resulting company was 21st on the 2008 Forbes list of “Largest Private Companies in America.

Enterprise is over 50 years old, has revenue of over 9 BILLION $ , and 70,000 employees.

Alamo launch mobile website - ‘Alamo.mobi’

Alamo Rent a Car is the third-largest car rental agency in the United States.

Based in Clayton, Missouri, it has branches across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America, parts of Africa, Europe, and Australia, and various Caribbean islands.

The chain was started in 1974 with several locations in the state of Florida, and earned public appeal for its unlimited mileage program, where people could travel any distance with the car at no extra charge. In the United States, Alamo rents mostly General Motors and Toyota,Nissan,Volvo automobiles.

Alamo was previously owned by Vanguard Automotive Group, which also owns NationalCar Rental. In March 2007, Vanguard was bought by Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the largest rental car company in North America.

Again, this site loads instantly on any mobile device, and the information is easily accessible and nicely laid out. National Car launches ‘NationalCar.mobi’ mobile site

National Car Rental is a rental car company based in Clayton, Missouri. National was founded by 24 independent rental car agents on August 27, 1947. It has grown from 60 locations in the United States in 1947 to over 2000 locations worldwide as of 2005. It is truly a huge operation and one of the largest car rental firms in the United States.

We found the site to load instantly, to fit the mobile screen and was very easy to drill down for the requisite info, a big thumbs up. And might we say about time, as they had a ‘coming soon’ page for a long time. IMHO travel, car rentals, hotels, etc will be HUGE on mobile.

Intercontinental Human Jet Flight sponsored by Webtel.mobi

Currently they are utilising subdomains on the domain for different areas of information, from recruitment to stocks and finance information.

Decathlon have launched their mobile website at Decathlon.mobi

If you are accessing this article via a pc or laptop the site autodetects according to device, so you need to visit on your mobile, for which it is designed specifically with the .mobi url.

I have visited on my samsung and the site is instant loading and really easy to navigate. Big thumbs up!

Decathlon is a major French sporting good chain store, with stores located throughout the world. It started with a shop near Lille, France in 1976. It expanded to Germany in 1986, Spain in 1992 and the United Kingdom in 1999. It entered the American market by purchasing the New England 20-store MVP Sports chain in 1999, rebranding them as Decathlon USA.
