GFK’s press release about their new mobile website:
” In content and structure, gfk.mobi is similar to the normal company website: however, it also offers something completely new. Together with Frankfurt-based agency Taobot, GfK analysed the target groups, and included on the website only the information that is relevant to these. The content is adapted to the smaller screens, lower memory capacity and processing power of mobile terminals. The site is also programmed to identify the type of terminal being used to access the Internet: if users visit the GfK website from a mobile phone, they will be automatically directed to www.gfk.mobi, whereas they will continue to reach www.gfk.com from a PC.
The newly launched mobile website will be developed on an ongoing basis. Currently, programmers are working to integrate a dynamic presentation of the share price in the Investors section and this is expected to be on stream by the end of February.
www.gfk.mobi is linked to the existing central Content Management System of the GfK Group website. This allows other GfK companies to use the company website as an example and to produce their own mobile websites without any additional effort.”
