What is clear is they are along with everyone else still unclear as to the best way to target mobile phone users. Everyone is still considering the best way to monetise services and to receive payments.

Micropayments seem the best way to receive payments via the carrier as it will cost them the least.

I can see credit card companies losing out the most here. Obviously they will still be best and most used for more expensive online transactions, but for the youth to pay for something it will need to be very desirable and cheap.

These are early days and those that figure out the best methods in all areas of mobile marketing, websites, payments and everything else will be the winners.
